Maintenance
It is recommended to soak your night guard in warm water for one minute before wearing as your night guard is thermal sensitive. Once soaked it becomes softer and more comfortable when inserted.
Do not use excessive force of pressure when putting in your night guard, as this can damage or break your appliance.
Clean your night guard after each use with a toothbrush and warm water. DO NOT use toothpaste as some toothpastes are abrasive.
Store your night guard in a dry retainer case or container.
Once a week soak your appliance in vinegar and water or Polident specifically for retainers.
Attention, if you have a dog, please make sure you store your night guard somewhere safe as dogs like to eat them if left out.
Bring your night guard with you to your dental appointments for assessment.
Do not hesitate to contact the office for any adjustments needed.
